Mr. & Mrs. Kearney

Ashley & Eric’s wedding had such a fun, industrial vibe to it that is different from the majority of the weddings I photograph. It was such a treat to explore the Old Woolen Mill and we even were blessed with a breathtaking sunset! As the day began, the girls and guys were each getting ready at their own Airbnb in the downtown area. Both groups were equally excited! Ashley and her mother had a special moment together as she helped her into her gown and fastened the buttons. She then took a ring off her hand and put it on Ashley’s. With tears in her eyes she said, “this ring has a lot of love.” She shared how the ring was passed down to her from her mother and how each of them got to wear it for special occasions and now it was Ashley’s turn! One moment that really stood out to me was when Ashley and Eric spent some quiet time together before the ceremony. We tucked them on either side of an alley corner where they each read hand written letters from each other that left them in tears! They shared the most touching and heartfelt prayer that soon had me in tears as well. Their hearts were so ready to become one and they wanted to honor the Lord with their ceremony.

At the ceremony location, a table was set up with a beautiful map of the world for their guests to sign. There was also a box set up where guests could write prayers for the bride and groom. Their ceremony began with live acoustic music complete with candles on either side of the aisle where Eric awaited his bride. Once everyone rose to their feet at Ashley’s entrance, Eric finally turned to see his beautiful bride for the first time that day and he swelled with joy! Ashley’s little brother Blake also had such a sweet emotional moment when he saw his sister. A special message was shared after her father gave her away and they exchanged vows and rings. Soon, they sealed their marriage with a kiss!

Back at the Mill, the venue was all spruced up with beautiful magnolia and hydrangea blossoms. Each table had Ashley’s grandmother’s vintage books with candles, and at the entrance, there was a table full of board games for the guests to enjoy that evening. Ashley and Eric offered a beautiful spread of vintage drinking glasses for each guests to use and then take home with them as favors. Mr. & Mrs. Kearney, along with their bridal party, had a very fun and original introduction into the reception where the MC shared several funny fibs about each couple as they entered. It made for lots of laughs! Ashley and Eric shared their first dance with each other and also with their parents. The best man and maid of honor gave such heartwarming and funny speeches that gave more insight into their relationship. The cake was cut and a delicious assortment of desserts and a coffee bar were open to the guests. Once the music started, it seemed that everyone took their turn on the dance floor! At one point a conga line was made that made its way out the building and back in! Guests of all ages were cutting a rug together and I just couldn’t sit still among everyone!

As the evening came to a close, the remaining guests made their way out to the cobblestone lane with sparklers to give Ashley and Eric a dazzling farewell!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kearney!
