Mr. & Mrs. Thompson

Brittney and Russell tied the knot at Russell’s parents’ beautiful property in East Tennessee. Their garden style wedding was so inviting and elegant. There wasn’t a single moment out of the day that wasn’t joyful!

After the guys and girls got ready and put on their finishing touches, Brittney had a reveal with her bridesmaids and a first look with her dad that left everyone in tears! Shortly after, I tucked Brittney and Russell away in a private corner of the house where they could pray together and read personal love letters they wrote for each other.

When the time came for the ceremony, the sun was beaming much like their friends, family and Russell as Brittney made her way down the aisle. What I loved about the start of their ceremony was that both sets of parents came up to the altar to pray over their marriage. Shortly after, Brittney and Russell sang “What a Beautiful Name” together as a duet and it was such a beautiful reminder that we should put God first in everything. After exchanging vows and rings, they each took turns washing each other’s feet as a sign of humility and service to one another as a couple. Every single moment of their ceremony just pointed back to Jesus and it was so touching!

At the reception, everyone was mingling and enjoying the ice cream bar! Brittney and Russell shared their first dance along with dancing with their parents. Russell’s father and Brittney’s maid of honor Natilee gave heartfelt speeches that were so genuine! After dancing into the sunset, tossing the bouquet and garter, the guests sent the happy couple off with a sparkler exit!

Please enjoy highlights of their wedding day below!
