Mid-Century Modern Wedding: Mr. & Mrs. Dodge

This year has been tough on all of us in so many ways. And I am truly in awe when I look back at all the amazing couples I have photographed this year. Their resilience is truly inspiring seeing brides and grooms have to reschedule and re-plan their wedding days. That’s really what marriage is all about - walking side by side through the stormy seasons and loving each other all the more.

Bri and Sam were one of those couples. Originally they had planned to tie the knot this May, but unfortunately the local COVID-19 cases were on the rise and there were state restrictions in place for gatherings. They were so amazing to completely reschedule their entire wedding, the date, the venue, and some of the vendors. But let me tell you, the love and joy permeated all the more!

Their wedding was the epitome of retro, classic and intimate. Every little detail glowed with their personalities. From warm and whimsical florals, mixed and matched vintage furniture, black bridal party ensembles, gold accents and modern fall accents.

Their rainy wedding day began with a stunning first look and a fun golf cart ride around the venue grounds for some amazing portraits! The ceremony was filled with tears of joy and laughter as they exchanged personal vows and rings. The evening glowed with fun and dancing with their loved ones, delicious barbecue, exquisite french macarons and homemade apple butter, heartfelt speeches, and an unforgettable paper lantern send off!

I am so incredible thankful that Mr. and Mrs. Dodge still got to celebrate their wedding, even though it wasn’t their original plan. Enjoy the highlights below!
